A pack of dogs bit off the nose of a homeless dog. Sniffles was a “street dog” living in Puerto Rico. He had lived in constant danger for a long time and his luck finally ran out.
Luckily, he was rescued and rushed to a veterinarian for emergent care and they were able to save his life but not his nose. They repaired much of the damage on his face but his muzzle was beyond repair.
Some folks might think he looks weird. However, those who rescued him found his loving personality to be significantly more noticeable than his disfigured muzzle.
When A Pack Of Dogs Bit Off His Nose, It Was His Lucky Day
After Sniffles had healed, he was transferred to a non-profit rescue organization in Florida known a Poodle and Pooch Rescue. This group specializes in assisting special needs and senior dogs.
Upon his arrival in Florida, he was still significantly underweight and his eyes were infected. Very special people helped him return to health while in their foster care. Sniffles was no longer a homeless dog.
As the foster family spent more time with Sniffles they got to know him much better. They found out that he loved getting to know new people. He was very fond of snuggling up and sharing Eskimo kisses with everyone.
In spite of being a “chronologically enhanced” dog, the love he gave came back to him. His loving nature attracted many potential adoption applications. However, one application really stood out.
Meet Sniffles’ New Family
Sharon and Norman made a special effort to meet Sniffles. The three of them really hit it off. It was love at first sight.
It only took one week for them to receive a response to their adoption application. They were thrilled to learn that they had been selected to be Sniffles’ forever family.
Sniffles’ new life was nothing like what he had experienced in Puerto Rico. In addition to having loving humans for his family, he no longer had to scrounge around for scraps to fill his empty belly.
He was never in fear of being attacked by a pack of dogs again and slept peacefully in his own comfortable bed. Sniffles played outside and enjoyed walking safely with Sharon and Norman.
After living a life of fear, hunger and loneliness, Sniffles is living a peaceful and safe life with his very own loving family. He would never be a homeless dog again. What more could a dog ask for?
Sniffles may have had to go through a tough time after being attacked by the pack of wild dogs. However, if this had not happened, he most likely would never have been given the opportunity to have his very own family.
