A two-legged homeless dog in China recently gave birth to her puppies. In spite of her disabilities, she does all she possibly can to protect her pups. How this 2-legged mama dog provides for her babies is touching.
Most dogs are hardy. They adapt to their surroundings and do their best to survive. We know that globally there are many homeless dogs. Daily, they must struggle to find food and shelter to survive. Surprisingly, even disabled dogs fight to survive the rough life on the streets.
Mom Shi Bao had not just wandered off from a loving home. She was not a stray! After her heartless owner abandoned her, this pregnant dog sought shelter. The nearest safe place was near Kouguan Railway Station in Datong. Sadly, she suffered a serious accident which caused her to lose her hind legs.
The local citizens state that she was either struck by a car or, possibly, run over by a train. Regardless of which accident took her legs, she not only survived but gave birth to a litter of puppies .
Surprisingly, in spite of her disability, Shi Bao gave birth to a litter of happy, healthy and very cute puppies. Like all good mothers, she realizes that her babies need to eat to survive. So, each and every day, this two-legged mama dog provides for her babies. To do this, she takes her pups to the train station.
She knows it is likely that she will find enough food for them there to keep them alive. Feeding her babies is the most important thing in her life.
Unfortunately, China does not have the same attitude toward animals as we do in America. There are no legal protections for either the disabled mama dog or her puppies.
Frankly, unless an animal welfare group or a dog loving good Samaritan decides to take them in, their lives might still be in danger. Not every country provides for homeless dogs.

This two-legged mama dog and her babies are at great risk. Hopefully, someone will adopt them. This is the only way to safely end their lonely days and difficult nights on the streets.
Do you happen to know anyone or any organization in that part of the globe? Have you heard about the concept of 6 Degrees of Separation? Maybe you do have some connections there you just have not considered. Give is some thought. The least we can do is to pray for this precious mama dog and her babies.
